Landscape – Local Area (Full Day)

Explore the wonderful local environment around Aysgarth Falls using a variety of media to draw and paint from nature.

• Working from collected images, own sourced images using cameras or phones in the local area, attendees will develop some responses to the local landscape in a sketchbook using dry media to record shape colour composition then coming into the studio to work the designs up using acrylic paint.
• Developing textures, exploring colours and finally working up a final design onto the gesso board.
• Students will learn to use a limited palette to build up a range of colours that harmonise and develop painting confidence and colour mixing.
