“I often to go out into the hills and moorlands that surround where I live. My favourite times of day for photographing and painting the landscape is when the sun is low and the light is softened, I try to capture these moments in oil. When the weather threatens storms I set out to capture the sheets of rain and bodies of cloud as they pass over the local moorlands, especially summer storms with their warm Naples yellow hues. “
