About Us
Yore Mill Craft Shop and Gallery opened in July 2021. Its gallery looks out over the Upper Falls at Aysgarth, and it is unlikely that there are many finer views out of a gallery window in Yorkshire or beyond.
Julie was an art teacher in the North of England for 30 years. Since then she has focused upon her art, and runs art classes here in the studio. She is a member of Green Door Artists and North Yorkshire Open Studios, with her having a number of exhibitions throughout the year.
Steve was previously an archaeologist who has worked in the UK, Europe and Near East. He was also a musician (drums and percussion). He still has a drum kit here at the Mill. Steve also has a keen interest in Astronomy and the Night Sky running stargazing sessions beneath the amazing Dales Dark Skies.

Our aim is to share the wonderful works being created by the wonderful artist and makers in our region with visitors and local people alike and making it somewhere where you can pick up that little reminder of your visit here as well as offering you the chance to buy something that little bit special for your home or that gift for someone special.

Visit Us
There is very limited parking at the Mill so we recommend that you park in the Aysgarth Falls National Parks Centre car park (DL8 3TH) a couple of minutes away and walk down the footpath to us.
The Yorkshire Dales have gained international recognition as an official Dark Sky Reserve and we are proud to support this as a Dark Sky Friendly Business involved in and providing a range of astronomical experiences.
