Ceramicist of the Month – Nicholas Marsh

Our Ceramicist of the Month is Nicholas Marsh.

This Autumn is the first time we have had Nicholas’s amazing pieces with us. We’re sure that you will enjoy them.

Nicholas makes ceramic vessels and sculptures using a variety of clays and decorative techniques to achieve contrasting and complimentary surfaces. These are enhanced by a live flame interacting with the predominantly unglazed clay during the final firing.

“My Professional making career has spanned over 45 years. I have been privileged to live and work in a variety of locations in the world each with a distinctive influence on what I think and make.

I currently live in a small ex mining village where my grandfather used to dig coal, I am making again under ancestral skies”.
