All pieces are porcelain, and each is intricately hand carved. Being porcelain and so thin they are translucent, which means that they can be lit with either a simple candle, or a strong led/ tealight/string of lights. Using a candle in the vessel wont damage it at all, but the piece should be stood on a coaster or something similar to protect the surface it is on as it could get warm if lit for a long time. The pieces are glazed internally so are easily cleaned with soap and water and the exterior is unglazed.
As each piece is individually hand carved there will be subtle variations in the appearance of each one.
