“My pieces are thrown, turned, and then decorated with oxides and carved, scraped or scratched. These are vessels, but not necessarily functional.
I am interested in form and surface, but also enjoy sawdust firing and experimenting different clays and combustibles.
My decoration tends to be intuitive rather than planned, but is rooted in the natural world and the patterns and shapes within.
